Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. ASM Lutful Ahsan has urged the students and officials to rise above corruption and fulfill their responsibilities with honesty and devotion.
He said this while addressing as the chief guest a meeting with stakeholders on establishing good governance for the implementation of CVASU National Sanitation Strategy Action Plan (2023-24) on Wednesday.
The meeting was organized by the CVASU National Sanitation Strategy Committee.
Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal, Dean of Veterinary Medicine Faculty Prof. Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman, Registrar Mirza Farooq Imam and IQAC Director Prof. Dr. Gauz Mia were present as special guests in the meeting held in the conference room of the University's administrative building. The Focal Point of the National Reform Strategy Committee was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Md. Kaushar-ul-Alam.
The chief guest in his address said that the main objective of the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) is to improve the quality of citizens services, facilitate service delivery, bring transparency, accountability and dynamism in official work and above all to establish good governance.
He said, “In establishing good governance, we have to rise above corruption and fulfil our respective responsibilities properly with honesty and devotion.”
In the meeting, Proctor of the University and Focal Point of Grievance Redressal Committee Professor Dr. Mohammad Mezbah Uddin presented the main article on Grievance Redressal Mechanism. Senior Deputy Director of Public Relations and Publication Department and Focal Point of Information Right Committee Khalilur Rahman and staff of Examination Controller's Office discussed the Right to Information Act. The Deputy Controller of Examinations Dr. Md. Nuruzzaman discussed the charter.
CVASU faculty, officials, students, representatives of civil society, journalists and representatives of various organizations participated in the meeting.
