SSC, HSC form fill-up to begin after Eid

With several lakhs students awaiting to see the dawn of a new day in their academic life, SSC and equivalent examinations are likely to be held in November while HSC examination may me held in December.

The form fill-up process for SSC and HSC candidates will begin after the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, said the Minister for Education DipuMoni.

She made the remarks at a virtual press conference on SSC and HSC examinations on Thursday. However, no date has yet been finalized and it will be notified when done.

The Education Minister said if the Covid situation improves, SSC and equivalent examinations are likely to be held in the second week of November while HSC examination maybe held in the first week of December according to short syllabus.

However, she mentioned that the government is also thinking of evaluating the examinees with an alternative method. In this case, it is said to asses the examinees with assignments and reduce examination papers.

She said the payment for forms can be given through online and mobile banking. Therefore, no student has to go to the educational institution and they have to pay less than before as the number of subjects has been lessened.

Referring to her previous experience of the Covid situation, DipuMoni said, "The pandemic situation improved in December last year. Now vaccination will start on a large scale. If the situation gets better, a limited number of examinations will be conducted."
