The government has planned to hold the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in November and hinted holding exams of the Higher School Certificate in December.
The Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni made the announced on plans to conduct Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in November while HSC in in December in accordance with the coronavirus pandemic situation.
Other equivalent examinations along with these public examinations will be conducted in a limited manner simultaneously.
The education minister said this while talking to reporters on Thursday. She said there are plans to hold SSC in the second week of November and HSC in the first week of December, in a short syllabus and short time if the corona situation improves.
Referring to the experience of last year's Covid-19 situation, the education minister said, “Corona situation had improved last December. But again, things got worse. However, vaccination has already begun on a large scale and will increase further in the future. If the situation becomes normal, a limited range of exams will be held.”
Dipu Moni also said that assessment in SSC and HSC will be group based. Essential subjects like Bengali and English will not be evaluated. In addition, a short syllabus will be completed through assignment.
She further said the results will be prepared and published through assignments and subject mapping if examination cannot be conducted.
