The 50th founding anniversary of Jatiya Sramik League, a trade union body affiliated with the ruling Aawami League, was observed in Chuadanga on Saturday.
To mark the day, the leaders of the organization placed wreath at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the office of District Awami League.
Workers and employees from all strata gathered and held a rally in front of the central office of the Awami League in the town at 11am.
However, the rally started from Awami League office and ended at the same place after rounding the main roads of the town. Later, a discussion meeting was held at AL office.
President of Chuadanga Zilla Sramik League Afjal Hossain presided over the meeting while Joint General Secretary Riazul Islam Joardar Toton, Organizing Secretary Munshi Alamgir Hannan, Vice-president Islam Uddin and general secretary Ripon Mondol spoke at that time.
