The last cold spell of the season has seemingly bid farewell on the first day of the Bengali month of Falgun. The spring season has arrived with some warmth. Temperature is expected to continue to rise.
The essence of winter will gradually disappear. Furthermore, according to meteorological reports, it is likely to rain in the early days of next week.
On Sunday, a mild cold wave was blowing over Panchagarh, Kurigram, Rajshahi, Pabna, Jessore, Kushtia and Moulvibazar districts.
On Monday morning, the lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 8.7 degrees Celsius in Srimangal. The cold in the capital has decreased significantly since Sunday night. In the morning, the minimum temperature in Dhaka was 16.1 degrees Celsius.
Meteorologist Abul Kalam told Bangladesh Post that the cold wave has dissolved and temperature is likely to rise in the next few days making the weather dry. However, there is a possibility of rain around the start of the upcoming week.
“We have probably experienced the last cold wave of this season,” he said.
According to the meteorological forecast till Tuesday morning, the weather across the country is likely to remain dry. Light to moderate fog is expected in most parts of the country throughout night time.
Night and day temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. However, both night and day time temperature is expected to rise in the next three days.
