Annual sports competition was held on the playground of traditional Bidyapith Punduria High School amid great festivity at Santhia upazila in Pabna on Wednesday.
Koromja Union Parishad Chairman FF Hossain Ali Bagchi inaugurated the competition at 10am. Students participated in running, high jump, long jump, pillow passing, cockfight and candle lighting competition. Sports teacher Abdul Mannan acted as ground captain during this time. Assistant Headmaster Kamal pasha, senior teacher Moktar Hossain, Rezaul Karim, Shamsunnahar and other teachers administrated the game.
A prize distribution and a colorful cultural programme was held at this time. At that time, Upazila Academic Supervisor Abdur Razzak, Headmaster of the school Abu Hanif Khan, local Awami League leader Roton Kundu along with other delivered their speech. Later, prize was distributed among the winners.
