Production on Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two halts after a flock of sheep invades. The eighth and final installment in the Mission: Impossible series will mark 28 years of Mission: Impossible when the film is released in 2024.

The franchise began back in 1996 and follows Cruise's Ethan Hunt, an agent with the IMF who works to prevent impending global disasters. The Mission: Impossible franchise will soon be coming to an end with its seventh and eight films, a two-part finale titled Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning. Part One will be released on July 14, 2023, with Part Two releasing on June 28, 2024.

Over the past several years, the Mission: Impossible franchise has become renowned for Cruise's death-defying stunts. He's previously scaled the Burj Khalifa, hung to the side of an airplane, and performed a HALO jump.

Even with Cruise now 60 years old, he's showing no signs of slowing down as he looks to top himself in the two Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning films. Seemingly nothing can stop the actor from accomplishing his goals, but he did have to pause filming for a funny reason.

Cruise and the rest of the Mission: Impossible team have been hard at work on Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two, but a new report shared that the production was interrupted by some surprising intruders. According to Fox News, a flock of sheep paused filming on the Mission: Impossible sequel when it invaded the production in the Lake District in England. A photo of the invasion showed the film's star and producer Cruise standing to the side, allowing the large flock to pass through.

While it does not appear that the interruption caused by the sheep was anything more than a brief inconvenience, this isn't the first time the Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning production has stopped. Filming for Mission: Impossible 7 halted in 2020 due to Covid-19 condition at the production's location in Italy, and the delay pushed back the film's release date.

Then, once filming could begin again, a stunt motorcycle burst into flames, starting a costly fire on the set. Nobody was hurt, but the stop in production was disheartening to the Mission: Impossible cast and crew.

Although this most recent pause in filming is less dramatic than those during Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning - Part One, it is no doubt as equally frustrating to Cruise and his team.
