Special room set up for women, children in court

A special room called ‘Matrichhaya' has been set up at Magura District and Sessions Judge's Court for women and children who come there for seeking justice. It was inaugurated by Magura District and Sessions Judge Kamrul Hasan on Monday.  

Additional District and Sessions Judge Farzana Yasmin, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ziaur Rahman, Zela Parishad Chairman Pankaj Kumar Kundu, Senior Assistant Judge K M Mohiuddin, District Legal Aid Officer Begum Nusrat  Jabin Nimni, Public Prosecutor Kazi Eskender Oder Azam were present on the occasion.

 The room has been set up on the ground floor of the district judge's court with a grant of Tk 2 lakh provided by Zela Parishad  Magura .

In this regard  Zela Parishad  chairman Pankaj Kumar Kundu said, `this room has been set up with the funding of  Zela Parishad. The purpose of setting up the room is to ensure that all women seeking justice are able to breastfeed their babies safely. 

There are also play materials to entertain the children who come with the justice candidates. Their children will be able to play with different materials'.
