Guitar legend and band star Ayub Bachchu’s first death anniversary is today. A special programme has been organized commemorating the legendary maestro titled ‘Shei Tumi’. Fowad Nasser Babu moderate the show where Bappa Mojumder, Manam Ahmed, Elita Karim and Shahid Mohamamd Jongi were present. And the programme has been presented by Afzal Hossain.
Referring to the programme, Bappa Majumder said, “It has been a wonderful event. I finished it’s recording on Wednesday. The event is arranged to commemorate Ayub Bachchu. We all shared our memories with him. Besides, I have talked about Bachchu Bhai’s music and life.”
The programme has been produced by Alamgir Hossain which will be aired today at 9:45pm on Desh TV.
Meanwhile, on the eve of the first death anniversary of the Ayub Bachchu, a programme titled ‘Sritir Dahon’ will be aired on Channel-i today at 4:40pm, presented by Tanvir Tarek and directed by Jamal Raza. LRB’s founding members SI Tutul, Sayeed Hassan Swapan, Latifur Rahman Shibli and Bappi Khan will be present at the event. There will be some songs along the way. In addition, Channel-i will air another show at 12:00pm titled ‘Ayub Bachchur Shorone Name’.
It is noteworthy that the silver guitar of the legendary artiste stopped only at the age of 56 on October 18 last year. Ayub Bachchu was laid to rest next to his mother’s grave at Chaitanya Gali Cemetery in Chattogram on October 20.
