Special initiative for ‘Amar Gram, Amar Shohor’ in Chuadanga

The Chuadanga District Administration has taken a special initiative to implement the concept of 'Amar Gram, Amar Shohor' at Doarpara village in the district.

Various initiatives have been taken to ensure the facilities of town at Doarpara village in Chuadanga Sadar. In one word, almost all the facilities of the town will be settled in the village. With the efforts of the district administration and local residents, there is a visible change in the village of Doarpara using limited resources. Faizur Rahman, secretary of Shankar Chandra Union, said Dorapara village of Chuadanga Sadar was like others common village in Bangladesh. The village also lacked adequate drinking water. There were no good communications network. There was no light in the street. Now these things are changing. The previous image of the village has been changed with the initiative of the Chuadanga District Administration.

Villagers said, people in the village of Doarpara are getting many benefits like a city now. At night, lamp post has enlightened the village’s roads. Students have got bicycles to go to distant schools. An entertainment center has also been set up named 'Bela Sheshe'. Working people of the village are coming to the amusement center for getting a little entertainment at the end of the day. 

Free wi-fi has been provided in the village for the benefit of digital Bangladesh. Drinking water and library facilities are arranged for the villagers. In a word, the people of the village of Doarpara are now getting the benefits of the city.

Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner Gopal Chandra Das said, the present government's election manifesto was 'Village will be a city'. We are working to implement that commitment. Mokammel Hossain, Additional Secretary (SDG Affairs) of the Prime Minister's Office who recently came to Doarpara village. He became  overwhelmed by the positive change in the village. He said, the changes were made by the Chuadanga District Administration with the help of the villagers. After completion of the implementation 'My Village, My City', the Doarpara village of Chuadanga will be an example in Bangladesh.
