A special booster dose campaign is starting in Chittagong from Tuesday. The booster dose can be taken four months after the second dose.
Chittagong Civil Surgeon Dr Md Elias Chowdhury confirmed the matter on Monday.
He said the booster dose would be applied to at least four more centers in the metropolis in addition to the regular centers under the special campaign. This campaign will last for several days. Booster dose can be taken only after four months after taking the 2nd dose.
The Civil Surgeon said everyone aged 18 and over can take the booster. No SMS will be required to receive booster dose. In other words, even if you do not have SMS, you can go to different centers and take booster during the special campaign. However, the vaccination card must be brought along.
It is learned that a booster dose will be administered at the CJKS Auditorium and Officers Club Center at MA Aziz Stadium in the city on Tuesday during a special vaccination program. However, plans to open a center at the Open University and the GEC Convention Center have not yet been finalized. Under the special campaign, plans have been made to bring 10,000 people a day under booster dose in the city.
