Speaker stresses acquiring knowledge for professional skills

Acquiring professional knowledge is crucial to meet the challenges in the globalization era, and so there is no alternative to gaining knowledge to catalyze the skill developing progress.

This was stated by the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury while attending as the chief guest of the graduation dinner of ‘National Defence Course-2019’ and ‘Armed Forces War Course-2019’, arranged by the National Defence College Bangladesh, said a release issued in the capital on Wednesday.

NDC and AFWC courses are very important for developing the professional skills as it creates opportunity to exchange views and experiences with students from others countries, commented Dr Shirin. She congratulated the students for graduating and called on all graduates of NDC course to work together to meet the challenges of the 21st century and for the development of the country, added the release.

She emphasized the need for a unified consensus and concentration among all professionals to ensure development and security of the nation.

Recalling Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s unparalleled leadership along with the sacrifice of millions of lives in the liberation war, Dr Shirin said, “Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the worthy successor of Bangabandhu, Bangladesh is now the role model of development.”

She urged the students to work for a better future of the country.

Inauguration speech in the programme was delivered by Commandant of National Defence College Bangladesh Lieutenant General Sheikh Mamun Khaled.

Trainees of national defence and armed forces war course, faculty members and staff officers were present, among others, during the programme.
