Superintendent of Police of Thakurgaon Moniruzzaman Monir assisted Rozina, a distressed, starving woman of Biharipara colony area of the town by handing over her a sewing machine and some food materials on Tuesday noon.
It is learnt, a video-post entitled “Thkurgaoer Rozinar Artonad Dehar Ki Keo Nei ?" (Is there no one to feel the cry of Rozina? ) was published in the Facebook page on March-27 which turned vuiral. Watching the video, SP Moniruzzaman Monir called page admin journalist Junaid Kabir at his office and learnt the whereabouts of Rozina from him and assisted her by calling her at his office.
SP of Thakurgaon in presence of journalist Junaid and Zahid Hasan handed over a sewing machine and some foods to Rozina and advised her to admit her minor child to school. Rozina used to live at a rented house with her three-year aged child Sourav at Biharipara colony area of Thakurgaon town for last three-year.
She used to work as a garments worker in Dhaka but she returned from there and was staying with her father but her father also died when she start to work as a labourer. She turned ill by being hit with brick on her head and she remained bed ridden for last 15-day.
She had been starving with her three-year child when post about her such deplorable condition was published in Facebook and SP of Thakurgaon Moniruzzman Monir rescued her from her distress by assisting her with the sewing machine and the foods.
