Soummya and Sifat in ‘Bijoy Chinho’

Soummya Jyoti is the son of the star couple of the theater community of Bangladesh Brindabon Das and Shahnaz Khushi. As a child, he first performed in the play 'Paduka Bitan', written by Brindabon Das and directed by Syed Shakil. Once again, Soummya took part in a play directed by Syed Shakil.

He will be seen in a drama for Victory Day which will be broadcasted on Bangladesh Television. The name of the play is ‘Bijoy Chinho’. Soummya Jyoti played the role of Shubho and Nairuz Sifat played the role of Jerin. In the meantime, the shooting of this drama based on the war of liberation has been completed.

The drama will be aired on Bangladesh Television tomorrow night on Victory Day at 9pm. Regarding acting in the drama, Soummya Jyoti said, ‘I have long wanted to act in such a drama. That wish was fulfilled through my performance in ‘Bijoy Chinho’. Everyone has been very supportive. Hopefully, the drama will please the viewers.”

It was revealed that Brindabon Das wrote the drana ‘Bijoy Chinho’ inspired by Muntassir Mamoon's book ‘Porajito Pakistani General-der Drishtite Mukti Juddho’. 

Regarding the acting in the play, Nairuz Sifat said, "It is wonderful to be involved in such a drama. Thank you to everyone involved in it. I am very optimistic about this because it is a drama based on the war of liberation. This generation will know how the liberation war of Bangladesh was in the eyes of the defeated Pakistani generals. That's a big deal.' Chanchal Chowdhury and Shahnaz Khushi are the lead actors. Meanwhile, Nairuz Sifat has already completed her first movie, Dhaka Dream, directed Proshoon Rahman. Sifat also serves as the presenter of a new travel show. She is also appearing in a new drama serial called ‘Agun Pakhi’.
