Sonic the Hedgehog 2 keeps up its predecessor's spirit of listening to fan concerns by making an essential edit to a recent poster. In 2020, Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog had the distinction of being one of the few box office hits of the year. It was heralded by many as one of the best video game adaptations of all time, and it managed to cross $146 million in the short bit of time theaters were open. As a result, it wasn't a surprise when Paramount swiftly greenlit a sequel, which will premiere in theaters this April.

‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ will once again feature the vocal talents of Ben Schwartz in the titular role. This time around, he'll be united with his best friend Tails (Collen O'Shaughnessey), who was teased in the first movie's post-credits scene. Sonic and Tails must team up to stop bad guys Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and Knuckles the Echidna (Idris Elba) from getting the Master Emerald and destroying the world. ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ also welcomes back James Marsden and Tika Sumpter as Sonic's human pals Tom and Maddie.

With Sonic the Hedgehog 2 just over a month from release, marketing is in full swing. That means exciting new posters, though one recently caught fans' ire. O'Shaughnessey and Sumpter's names weren't listed among their co-stars', effectively limiting the billed actors to just the men. However, after enough fans spoke out against it, Paramount seems to have changed the poster. JOLLY J noted it on social media and shared the revised sheet.

This isn't the first time the ‘Sonic’ franchise has adjusted something after fan outcry, though it is arguably a much smaller instance than the previous.
