CloseUp1 star Sonia became popular through her unique style of singing. Sonia rose to the top of the music world by singing in audio, cinema and stage shows. The artist married Bangladeshi expatriate Zahir Ahmed Palash in 2009 and moved to Canada. Sonia's two children are Aisha and Hamza.
After four years, Sonia returned to the country on 9th December.
Yesterday, she went to her parents house in her village in Khulna. She will be in the country for about two months. Asked if she would be interested in singing during her stay in the country, Sonia said, ‘In fact, since 2015 I have almost stopped singing. However, since I'm back in the country after so many days, and if the lyrics and lyrics sound good, then I will definitely sing. But I have no interest in participating in music videos or on television. I just want to use my voice for the songs.'
Didn’t you feel bad after removing yourself from the music work? Responding to such a question, Sonia said, 'At that time when I was busy singing, I never imagined I would have to leave that world one day. But then I stopped singing. It was easy as I never fell in love with fame. I am very happy with my family life and I’m quite busy.'
Sonia's first original song was 'Dheuo E Dheuo E' written by poet Bakul and composed by Shaukat Ali Emon. She did her first playback with Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul's tune singing with Monir Khan in the Bengali cinema, 'Chithi Likheche Bou Amar'. Later she sang in many more films including 'Sampanwala'. Her first successful solo album 'Nishthur Banshi'. This album's 'Baazare Baje Bhoom Aar Dhak' is very popular during Pahela Boishakh.
