A woman was killed by her son over shifting a rubber water pipe at village Shyampur in Darshana Police Station of Chuadanga District on Sunday (November 21). Police arrested the son of the deceased on charge of killing later.
The deceased was identified as Kod Banu, 65, wife of Jamaluddin Mollik of village Shyampur under Darshana Police Station of Chuadanga district.
The arrested killer is identified as Idris Ali, son of Jamaluddin Mollik and deceased Kod Banu.
According to sources, Idris Ali was bathing on the yard of their house using water pump motor while he asked his mother to remove the water blowing pipe but his mother denied it. So a quarrel broke out between them.
At one stage he struck his mother with a spade on the head and that left her dead.
On getting information a team of police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, sent the body to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital Morgue for postmortem and then arrested the killer.
AHM Lutful Kabir, OC of Darshana Thana confirmed the killing incident and arrested the killer.
