A second year student of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College reportedly committed suicide on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Ishrat Jahan Mitila, 21, daughter of Dr Abdul Halim of Miah Fazil Chist area in Sylhet city. She used to live with her family.
Police recovered the hanging body of Mitila at about 6.00am from her house, said SM Shahdut Hossain, officer-in-charge of Airport Police Station.
Police said that she may commit suicide due to excess pressure of study. Further will be disclosed after the autopsy report, the police added.
