A solar-powered deep tube well installation project was inaugurated at Kishoreganj Public Health Engineering Department (KPHED) at Kishoreganj District Girls High School on Monday.
Executive Engineer of KPHED Mohammad Moshiur Rahman inaugurated the project.
Moshiur Rahman said that they have been working for supplying pure drinking water for the students of different institutes. Previously, KPHED installed a solar powered deep tube well at Katbariya AR Khan High School.
He also said that the government has taken a good initiative for safe and clean water for the students of school under the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Sub-assistant engineer of KPHED Abu Zakaria said that the venture for safe drinking water for the school students was taken according to the allocation for installment this tube well under a project. Headmaster of school Rabia Akhter Khatun and members of school managing committee are happy over the initiative. They said that this initiative will decrease sufferings for water.
