Smuggler held with 13,000 pieces of Yaba in Teknaf

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) seized 13,000 pieces of yaba tablets from a smuggler in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday. On information, Teknaf BCG Station conducted a drive in Marine Drive adjacent to Inani Beach and seized the yaba tables, says a press release. 

During the operation, the Coast Guard members took position, they searched a suspect and arrested a yaba smuggler named Mohammad Ibrahim (20) along with 13,000 pieces of yaba tablets. 

The arrested yaba smuggler is the son of Mohammad Rafiq, a resident of Ward 3, Leda Union, Teknaf Police Station, Cox's Bazar.

Lt. Shah Zia Rahman, media officer of the Coast Guard East Zone, confirmed the incident, saying the arrested yaba smugglers and the seized yaba have been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further action.
