Smart land management by 2026

The government is working with sincerity in order to render hassle-free and quick land-related services to the people.

A modern land management system will be developed by 2026,Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury told journalists. 

All concerned including government agencies, and stakeholders have already taken steps in order to create awareness among the people about land management, and give an idea about the existing laws and regulations related to land.

In order to put an end to the harassment of the service seekers, the land ministry wants to make a breakthrough in the fight against corruptions and all sorts of irregularities.

The digital management system will curb corruption from it grassroots offices to central land offices across the country.

The ministry officials are passing busy days to transform land management into a digital one in order to put an end to the social and family problems regarding ownership of land and ensure hassle-free services as per the prime minister’s directive.

Land distribution system will have to be digitalised to specify the ownership of land and thus the family and social problems over the issues would be solved.

All services including land acquisitions, Jalmahal system and E-mutation of the land ministry are also being brought under automation system.

People will get ‘E-Namjari’ mitigation, ‘E-Porcha’, E-Dakhila, land development tax, mouza-map and other services through online.

In this regard, the land ministry is going to digitise   country’s1, 38,000 maps and purchase the satellite image.

The government has already introduced online land mutation and DCR with QR code and payment of land tax. 

Besides, the countrymen can get land related services that include mutation, khatian and payment of land development tax from anywhere in the world by calling 16122 and searching land.gov.bd.

One can know about his land status by searching using his national identity card (NID). 

When the country’s 100 percent land management system will bedigitalised, its marginal people will be getting facilities from the digitalisation of the land management. 

The government will collect taxes through the digitalisation system within few months after completion of all other preparations.

The government has been working tirelessly to provide services to the people doorsteps through various means including digitisation.

Therefore, citizen will get land services staying at their residences through this system and they would not need to go to the land office physically.

Mobile APPS Barta for the officers concerned who are involved under the land management system will be launched soon, officials of land ministry.

It is very common in society that both brothers and sisters deprive each other of paternal property resulting in attacks, killings and conflicts.

There are often family feuds, especially among siblings, regarding paternal property, which sometimes result in bloody clashes.

When a proper land management system can be ensured, the problem would be solved.

The government has taken measures to protect the ownership of land of all the people staying at home and abroad.

People’s property will remain intact wherever they stay at home and abroad as the government has taken measures to secure and protect their rights.
