State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Sunday said smart energy plan is necessary to provide uninterrupted service to the consumers with utmost reliability.
“If you can increase the use of technology, the quality of service will be better automatically. Decisions must be made quickly. There can be no delay in the decision making process,” he said this in a virtual seminar titled "Smart Energy Planning of Bangladesh."
Hydrocarbon Unit under the Ministry of Mineral Resources organized the seminar virtually with its Director General TahminaYeasmin in the chair.
Nasrul Hamid said, “If we can make smart management smart in this regard, then the sector will become smart automatically. Customers will be satisfied after getting fast service.”
Professor of BUET Dr ABM Alim Al Islam presented the main article, while Energy Division Secretary DrMdKhairuzzamanMajumder, Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) Chairman ABM Azad and Petrobangla Chairman ZanendraNathSarker delivered their speeches by joining virtually.
In the article, Prof Alim discussed issues such as management and operational perspectives, technology perspectives on developed and developing country’s context and research about smart planning.
