Skilled human resource crucial for digital Bangladesh: Palak

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Thursday said Bangladesh has no option but to adhere to create skilled human resource for building a digital country, reports BSS.

“We’ve planned a number of high level training workshops to create skilled workers to transform the economy into an intellect based one… We want to spread the training program at the grass root level through various projects and programs as promised in the election manifesto”, a press release quoted him as saying. He was speaking at a discussion arranged by the Bangladesh High Tech Park Authority. “As part of this goal, the High-Tech Park will provide training to 4,000 youths at the district level”, He added.

Palak also said that 50 among 3,411 students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) students were chosen based on their rank and are going to participate in a 90-day training in Japan’s ‘Fujitsu Research Institute’, added the release. Managing Director (Secretary) of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Hosne Ara Begum ndc was also present, among others, during the discussion. “A total number of 45,000 people will be provided with the training…More than 11 thousand persons have already received the training and got employed”, she said. It was told at the meeting that the 50 chosen participants will receive training on Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Block Chain and Cyber Security.
