At least six working journalists of Rajshahi have been infected with the Covid-19 virus during the last couples of days. However, the health condition of all of those infected journos is learnt to well. According to the suggestions of the doctors, all of them are staying in isolation at their homes.
Infected six journos have been identified as Mehedi Hasan Shyamol (42), Rajshahi divisional Correspondent of Mohona Television, Abu Sayed, Cameraperson of SA Television, Mijanur Rahman(35), Durgapur Correspondent of daily Sonali Sangbad, Asaduzzaman Nur(24), Staff Reporter of Daily Sunshine, Abdur Rahim(23), Staff Reporter of Rajshahir Sangbad and Mehedi Hasan(23), Rajshahi Correspondent of Agricare24.com.
Abu Sayed of SA Television informed he tested positive days ago and on Sunday morning he suffered from fever. He is now in home isolation and his physical condition is well.
All other journalists including Mehedi Hasan Shyamol informed they all feel physically well now. Shyamol lamented that he could not go close to his son and daughter at the Father Day is because he is now at home isolation.
It is learnt, the first corona patient was detected on April-12 in Puthia upazila in the district and on May-15, the first Corona patient was detected in Rajshahi city. Till Saturday evening, 237 Corona patients have so far been detected in Rajshahi city and Upazilas of the district out of whom 55 have been cured.
