Bangladesh reported six deaths and 884 fresh Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours till 8am Thursday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The positivity rate was recorded at 9.81 percent after testing 9,010 samples across the country.
The country reported one death and 1,104 new Covid cases the previous day.
The Coronavirus has killed 29,256 people and infected 20,00,279 so far, according to the statement.
The recovery count rose to 19,31,494 after another 1,612 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day.
From the beginning of the pandemic, 96.56 percent Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.46 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.
Among the 29,256 fatalities, 12,877 occurred in Dhaka division, 5,879 in Chattogram, 2,146 in Rajshahi, 3,728 in Khulna, 986 in Barishal, 1,330 in Sylhet, 1,419 in Rangpur and 891 in Mymensingh divisions.
