Six CVASU students receive Dean’s Award

Six meritorious students of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology of Chattogram  Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) have been awarded Dean's Award. 

This 'Internship Feedback Programme and Dean's Award-2025' ceremony organised at the CVASU auditorium on Tuesday morning, 

The six students who secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the combined results of 2022 and 2023 of Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Food Science and Technology degree were awarded the prestigious Dean's Award.

The Dean's Award recipients are: Arpita Roy Trisha (1st place), KM Aminul Ehsan (2nd place) and Minhaj Uddin (3rd place) of the 10th batch (2018-2019 session) and Zerin Devi Nath (1st place), Afia Ibnat Saiba (2nd place) and Mosammat Tajmim Zakia Mim (3rd place) of the 11th batch (2019-2020 session). 

The students of the 11th batch (2019-2020 session) of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology completed six-month internships at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and various government and private institutions, hospitals and food industries in the country. The Faculty of Food Science and Technology organized this event on this occasion. 

CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the event.  University Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Kamal, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Professor Dr. Sheikh Ahmad Al Nahid, Director (External Activities) Professor Dr. AKM Saifuddin, Director of Bangladesh Rural Development Academy (Rural Education and Social Development) Dr. Sheikh Masudur Rahman and BCSIR Laboratory Director (Additional Responsibilities) Dr. Barun Kanti Saha were present as special guests. CVASU Food Processing and Engineering Department Professor Dr. Shirin Akhter delivered the welcome address at the event. 

At the beginning, the 11th batch students of the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Nausheen Nawal Wishi, Maryam Jamila Marzia and Umme Habiba, gave a presentation on the internship program. Certificates were given to representatives of various organizations providing internship placements at the event. 

 In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CVASU and Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD) for mutual cooperation in research, training and internship activities. 

CVASU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman and BARD Director General Saif Uddin Ahmed signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
