The officer concerned investigating into the retired Major Sinha M Rashed killing visited the scene of the murder incident on Friday at Marine Drive Road in Shamlapur Police check post of Teknaf Upzila.
The accused police constables showed how the incident happened in presence of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) officials and the accused who are on remand now.
Assistant Police Super Khairul Islam and Tofayel Mustafa Sarwar, Assistant Director General of RAB-15 and Investigation Officer of Sinha murder case led the investigation on the spot.
A simulation of the killing was arranged at the spot reproducing the actions of the alleged murder to demonstrate the real killing.
Colonel Tofail Mostafa Sarawar, Additional Director General of RAB told reporters at the scene that the killings took place in just two minutes. We tried to figure out what happened in these two minutes.
“We have tried to figure out whether the shooting happened suddenly or deliberately,” He added.
On July 31, Sinha was killed in a shooting which police termed as ‘self-defense’ on Cox's Bazar Marine Drive.
On August 5, Sinha’s sister sued nine policemen including dismissed office- in-charge of Teknaf Police Pradip Kumar Das and In- Charge of Bahar Chara police investigation center of Teknaf.
Pradeep, Liaquat and Nandadulal are currently in the custody of RAB for seven days of questioning. On Friday, the visit at the scene was part of the remand.
