Singer with passion for Bangabandhu

In his early fifties, Daud Elahi, as he is known to his fans, has been pursuing career as a singer. Although he studied in religious school in Madrasha completing Kamil degree, equivalent to masters exams but he later switched to following the normal life for the obsession of singing. 

"I became particularly interested in composing and adding melody to my songs when I fell in love with the ideologies of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He is my inspiration in life and I truly wish to follow the great leader," said a smiling Daud.

He said, "To know more about Bangabandhu and the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina I started collecting Bangla newspaper reports. I read them thoroughly and then started to search for words to compose songs describing the leaders' democratic values in my songs."

In a confident voice Daud said, "Nothing would make me happier than pursuing my bigger dream of singing a couple of songs in front of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina."
