Vocalist Nazmun Munira Nancy lost her father eight years after her mother passed away. Nancy’s father Naimul Haque passed away at his home in Khilkhet in the capital around 9:30 am on Monday.
The singer shared the news herself with a status on her official Facebook page. She wrote, “My father died around 9:30 this morning. Inna lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. I am praying for the forgiveness of his soul.”
But the singer did not say anything about how her father died. However, it is learned that Nancy’s father’s physical condition deteriorated on Sunday night. He had cough and chest pain.
Earlier, Nancy’s mother died in December 2012. Her late father will be buried next to her mother at her village home in Netrokona. Throughout her career, Nancy’s father worked as a deputy finance regulator at the Ministry of Defense. He retired four years ago and lived in Dhaka.
