Chairman of Sikder Group and National Bank Ltd Zainul Haque Sikder and his family members have decided to provide financial help to the underprivileged and jobless people, who are suffering due to the outbreak of the COVID-19.
As per the decision, they will donate Tk 1,000 to each family of underprivileged and jobless people.To this end, the Sikder Group Chairman has instructed the branch managers of National Bank to make a list of such people in all upazilas in Shariatpur district, said a press release of the bank.
The amount will be disbursed through savings accounts opened with an initial deposit of only Tk 10.The accounts have already been being opened and the donation will be disbursed within a short period of time, the release said, adding that the accounts will be excluded of any charge.
