Jamie Siddons, the recently hired batting coach of the Bangladesh cricket team has started his duty with the national team on Tuesday ahead of the three-match ODI series in Chattogram.

After recovering from the Corona virus, this is the first time the former Tiger head coach has worked with his old students like Tamim Iqbal, Shakib al Hasan.

Siddons came in the country on February 2nd, and he began visiting the grounds to assess the players. He sat on the ground at Mirpur and watched all of the matches.

The introduction of Siddons as batting consultant, according to Tiger ODI captain Tamim, will not weaken head coach Russell Domingo’s role in the team. “With Russell and Jamie we are a team and I don’t think we have to think or look at it differently,” said Tamim. “Whoever is in the set-up is one and we want to move forward in this manner because if there is any difference [between Jamie and Russell] than it won't be good and to be honest whether it is player or members of coaching panel we know we are one team and we will stick whether we do good or bad,” he said. The Australian coach also travelled to Sylhet to witness the BPL matches with selectors Minhajul Abedin and Habibul Bashar. The batting coach also paid a visit to Sylhet's two cricket grounds.
