Popular hero of this generation Siam Ahmed, has been finalized as the hero of the famous director of 'Dhaka Attack' Dipankar Dipon’s new cyber thriller film titled 'Antarjaal'. For the past few weeks, Siam's name has been heard as the lead actor of the film, but it was unofficial. On Tuesday night Siam was finalized for the film 'Antarjaal'.
Actor Siam Ahmed said that they have been talking about the film for about a month and a half. However, as it was not final, I could not say anything. I signed a contract for the film on Tuesday night.
‘No Dorai’ fame actress Sunerah Binte Kamal’s name come forward as the heroine opposite Siam, but the director has not assured anything.
The shooting of the film will start from June 24 in different locations in Dhaka. Regarding the preparation of the film and the finalization of other artistes, the Director said, ‘We have been working with the ICT division since November 2019.’ The film manages to entertain as well as provide information.
We have carefully crafted the screenplay to raise awareness on cyber usage. Asha Zahid and Saifullah Riyadh are working with me on story screenplay and dialogue. Each of the characters in this film is based on a real character, so we had to do a lot of research. Contracts will soon be signed with various characters of the film in phases.
The next battle will be in cyber, how ready our fighters’ are- for the first cyber thriller film of Bangladesh is going to be made with this idea. The film is being produced at the initiative of ICT Division.
Siam Ahmed's character in the film will be as a young computer programmer from Rajshahi named “Lumin”. Instead of seeking jobs with his CV, he made a start-up and hired others. However, his character is not simple, a little complex psychology.
Earlier, Honourble State Minister for Information and Technology of Bangladesh Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak announced the film at an award distribution ceremony of Channel I. Director Dipankar Dipon said that the film is being made with the conviction of highlighting the transformation and success of Digital Bangladesh to Bangladesh and the world as well as being successful as an entertainer for all.
The film will be produced under the banner of Motion People Studios. The producers are Mohammad Ali Haider and Sadequl Arefin. Shah Amir Khasru is the co-producer.
Incidentally, filmmaker Siam Ahmed is starring in producer Dipankar Dipon‘s awaited release 'Operation Sundarbans'.
