A Sub-Inspector of Atrai Police Station in Naogaon district has been accused of taking side on a group and harassing the other.
Rajibuzzaman, a resident of Sahebganj village, has raised the allegation against Sub-Inspector of Police (SI) Razab Ali of the Atrai police station.
He alleged that SI Rajab Ali took the side of their neighbor Jane Alam in exchange for money and has also been harassing them in various ways.
SI Razab Ali also submitted a false investigation report before the court by taking side on Jane Alam's side despite his family was attacked by Jane Alam.
Proofs of Rajibuzzaman's allegation has been found in CCTV footages and in the investigation report submitted by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) following a case filed in the court by Mofazzal Hossain, father of Rajibuzzaman, over the same incident.
According to the details of the incident, there was a dispute over a piece of land between Mofazzal Hossain of Sahebganj village and his neighbour Jane Alam.
Following the dispute, Jane Alam and his men attacked Mofazzal Hossain and his family on June 10. SI Rajab Ali and several other police officers were also present at the time. The incident took place at Mofazzal's residence. There is a CCTV footage of the incident.
After this incident, Jane Alam filed a case with Atrai Police Station and Mofazzal Hossain filed another case in the court. SI Razab Ali investigated the case filed by Jane Alam with the police station. But after the investigation, SI Rajab Ali submitted a report on October 15, taking side on with Jane Alam and accusing Mofazzal Hossain and his family members of guilty.
On the other hand, the PBI investigated the case filed by Mofazzal Hossain in the court. In that investigation, PBI officer Pratap Kumar Singh conducted an on-site investigation along with CCTV footage and submitted a report earlier on August 21. The PBI investigation report is completely opposite to the investigation report of SI Razab Ali of Atrai Police Station.
In this regard, Mofazzal Hossain's son Rajibuzzaman said that SI Rajab Ali has taken the side of Jane Alam in exchange for a huge amount of money and is harassing them in various ways.
SI Razab Ali was contacted on his mobile phone in this regard. He was asked why his investigation report did not mention the attack on Mofazzal Hossain's family by Jane Alam and his men? There is also evidence of the attack in the CCTV footage.
In response, SI Rajab Ali said, "If I would have mentioned the attack on Mofazzal and his family by Jane Alam, then it would not be a case. Rather, I will have to submit a final report."
He was asked why his investigation report did not match the PBI investigation report. In response, he claimed that he had not seen the PBI report.
But, sources said that SI Razzab Ali had seen the PBI report and he had supplied it to Jane Alam.
