Shwapnil's 'Path Harabe Na Bangladesh' launched

Renowned liver specialist and writer Prof Mamun Al Mahtab Shwapnil's book based on his thoughts on contemporary issues was released on Thursday at Amar Ekushey Book Fair. Mawla Brothers published the book titled 'Path Harabe Na Bangladesh' (Bangladesh will not lose its way).

Shaheed Jaya Shyamoli Nasrin Chowdhury, former Chief Election Commissioner of Bangladesh Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed, Justice Obaidul Shahin, Prof Samanta Lal Sen, Justice M Enaytur Rahim, former BSMMU vice chancellor Prof Kamrul Hasan Khan, IG Prisons AKM Mustafa Kamal Pasha, and a member of the Indian Upper House Ritubrata Banerjee unveiled the book at the Mawla Brothers pavilion inside Suhrawardhy Udyan.

Prof Shwapnil is the Chairman of the Department of Hepatology at BSMMU. He is one of the two key scientists who invented breakthrough medicine called Nasvac for Hepatitis B treatment. He is also the Member Secretary of Sampriti Bangladesh, a platform of prominent citizens who promotes secular ideas to overcome social divides. The book contains articles that Prof Shwapnil wrote in different newspapers in the last one year on contemporary social and political issues.
