Popular music director Shouquat Ali Imon has contracted coronavirus. He is currently in isolation at his home on the advice of a doctor. This information has been confirmed by Shouquat Ali Imon himself.
He said, “I have been suffering from fever and weakness for a few days now. It seemed to be corona. That’s why I did the test yesterday morning. I got the report at night, it came as positive.”
Imon added, “So far nothing bad has happened. I’m at home. Drinking hot water and following the doctor’s advice. Everyone please pray for me to get a speedy recovery.”
Incidentally, Shouquat Ali Imon was born in 1971 in Dhaka and he grew up in a music family. Mother Muslima Begum was a musician. Two sisters, Abida Sultana and Rebecca Sultana, have also made a name for themselves as musicians.
Imon signed on as music director in 1997. He has gifted many popular songs in the audio industry and films. He has also worked in Indian films beyond the borders of the country.
In 2013, Shouquat Ali Imon won the National Film Award in the Best Music Director category for the film ‘Purnodoirgho Prem Kahini’.
