The popular band Shironamhin, known for its vocal support of the student-led quota reform movement, has released a new song to inspire hope for a "new Bangladesh." The band’s leader, Ziaur Rahman Zia, has been particularly active on social media in advocating for the students' demands. Their latest song, titled "Keno," aims to capture the spirit of change and renewal in the country.

On Tuesday night, Shironamhin shared a preview of the song on their Facebook page. The clip, lasting 2 minutes and 51 seconds, provides a glimpse into the full version of the song, which is available on YouTube. The complete track runs for four and a half minutes. In their post, the band emphasized that this song symbolizes the hope for a brighter future for Bangladesh.

The band's message is clear: "A new Bangladesh will rise through your hands. This country belongs to all of us. The students and the people have liberated the nation. It’s a victory celebration, emerging from the plunder and terrorism. But our duty is not yet complete." Shironamhin urged everyone to remain vigilant in the face of ongoing challenges, including communal attacks and vandalism. They called on citizens to protect religious sites, police stations, and state property, stressing the importance of preventing a repeat of past mistakes.

The song "Keno" features lyrics by Ziaur Rahman and music composed by Kazy Ahmad Shafin. The lyrics poignantly reflect the confusion and frustration of the times, questioning why the birds in the city fly aimlessly and why the red sun continues to burn fiercely in the sky.

Shironamhin's new song is available on major music platforms such as Apple Music, JioSaavn, Gaana, Amazon Music, Spotify, and YouTube. The band hopes their music will resonate with listeners and support the ongoing movement for a better and more hopeful Bangladesh.
