Veteran banker Shirin Akhter, the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Bangladesh Krishi bank (BKB) took the current charge of Managing Director (MD) from July 31 last.
She joined Agrani Bank Ltd as Senior Officer in 1988 through BRC and has been working as Deputy Managing Director in BKB since 16.09.2019.
She completed her Post Graduate Degree with honors from the University of Dhaka in Political Science, MBA from Stamford University Dhaka and LLB degree from Law’ college.
She was born in a respectable Muslim family under Char Bhadrashan upazila of Faridpur district. She is the eldest daughter of late Ayesha Rahman who was the founder General Secretary of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League, Mohammadpur Thana, Dhaka and late Khalilur Rahman, a former Assistant Director of Bangladesh Bank (BB).
