Shippers Council reviews trade, transport, shipping problem at it’s AGM

Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) reviewed country’s trade, transport, shipping and port related problems in the context of world foreign trade situation in it's 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM).  The AGM was held at the Hamidur Rahman Sinha Lounge, Dhaka Club Limited(DCL)  on Saturday with Chairman of the council, Md. Rezaul Karim in the chair.  

The meeting analyzed performances of the Council during the period and the measures taken for enhancing its services to the exporters and importers.  More than 100 members attended the meeting. The Meeting confirmed the minutes of the last AGM, passed the Annual Report of the Board of Directors for 2019, the Audited Balance Sheet and Statement of Accounts for the year 2018-2019 and appointed Auditors for the year 2019-2020.

The Chairman, Election Board of the Council Dr. R.M. Debnath formally announced the names of new Office Bearers & Directors for the term 2020 & 202.

Aminul Mannan (Khokon), Proprietor, East West Jute Trading Co., Syed Md. Bakhtiar, Chairman, Active Logistics, Md. Nurussafa Babu, Director, Electro Mart Ltd., Ziaul Islam, Partner, M.S. Fashions, Ganesh Chandra Saha, Managing Partner, International Jute Traders and Ataur Rahman Khan, Proprietor, A.R. Khan & Co.
