Women contributing to nation’s dev

Women can immensely contribute to the development of the country as they are presently playing a pivotal role in building the nation, rendering their services to every aspect of life. Director and Chairperson of the Executive Committee of National Bank Parveen Haque Sikder, MP, along with Chairman of the bank, a veteran freedom fighter and renowned organizer of the War of Liberation Zainul Haque Sikder, came up with the observation while inaugurating the bank's 205th branch, a Mohila Branch at Sikdar Tower, Hazaribagh in the capital on Sunday.

Parveen Haque Sikder expressed her gratitude to all present there and said the National Bank always offers significant services to women through its different women friendly schemes. As per its continuous efforts to provide even better services to the women, the authority of the bank is very happy to open the bank's Mohila Branch at Dhanmondi residential area, she added.

She assured all of providing better quality and modern banking servicess to clients in the coming days. The bank is keen to help grow the industrial and agricultural sector of the country, she added. Parveen Haque said through quality and modern banking services, the bank will contribute to the overall economic growth of the country. Apart from offering general banking services, this Mohila Branch will create a number of proficient women entrepreneurs, she hoped.

Praising the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's role model in ensuring women empowerment, she expressed her eagerness to contribute to build a ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. A special prayer was offered for the martyred freedom fighters and as well as for the development of the country.

Director of the Bank Monowara Sikder, Vice Chairman of the Sikder Insurance Company Ltd. Mamtazul Haque, Independent Director of the bank Mahbubur Rahman Khan, former secretary of the government Sharmin Akhter Benu, renowned singer Shakila Jafar, administrator of Z.H. Sikder Women's Medical College and Hospital Mandy Khan Sikder, Managing Director and CEO of the bank Choudhury Moshtaq Ahmed, Additional Managing Directors, Deputy Managing Directors, some divisional heads of the Head Office and Manager of Mohila Branch Ferdousun Nahar, officers of the bank, freedom fighters, distinguished businessmen, social workers and journalists were present on the occasion.
