Shimul Nrityakala Academy celebrated its 30th founding anniversary organising a programme at Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium of Sufia Kamal National Public Library on Tuesday.
Founder of Shimul Nrityakala Academy Rafiqul Islam Roni, film producer Rizvi Ahmed, Saiful Islam and others were present as special guests on the occasion.
Artistes of Shimul Nrityakala Academy entertained the audience presenting dance recitals synchronised with songs like ‘Amar Bangladesher Ektara Shur Kotoi Bhalobashi’, ‘Nao Chhariya Dey Pal Uriya Dey’, ‘Amra Takdhum Takdhum Bajai Bangladesh Er Dhol’ and others.
“We are celebrating our founding anniversary after eight years. Our aim is to promote dance among the younger generation. I want to dedicate my life for promoting dance,” said Rafiqul Islam Roni.
