The 81st birthday of Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, founding chairman of Awami Juba League, was celebrated at Ishwardi in Pabna on Friday.
Ishwardi Poura and Upazila units of Juba League arranged various programmes to mark the day.
On the occasion, Juba League leaders and activists cut a cake at office of the organisation at Ishwardi in the morning.
Later, they took part in tree plantation programme at nine wards
of Ishwardi municipality simultaneously.
A special prayer ceremony was also held at the Ishwardi Govt College mosque.
Ishwardi upazila president of Juba League Shirhan Sharif Tamal, municipality unit president Alauddin Biplab, general secretary Ariful Islam Liton were present in the day programmes, among others.
