Sheikh Kamal Auditorium opens at Patiya

The newly constructed 1000 seat Sheikh Kamal Auditorium was inaugurated in Patiya.

Parliament Whip Samshul Haque Chowdhury MP inaugurated the auditorium, which was built at a cost of about 22 crore taka to the Upazila Parishad, funded by the Chattogram Zila Parishad.

 Zila Parishad Administrator Abdus Salam was the special guest at the inauguration ceremony.  Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Shabbir Iqbal presided over the event.  Patiya Upazila Chairman Motaherul Islam Chowdhury, Municipal Mayor Ayub Babul, Upazila Executive Officer Atiqul Mamun, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rakibul Islam, Upazila Awami League President Akam Shamsuzzaman Chowdhury, General Secretary Professor Harunur Rashid, Vice Chairman Dr. Timir Baran Chowdhury, Majeda Begum Shiru were special guests.

  Whip Samshul Haque Chowdhury MP said, this is the first auditorium with 1000 seats has been built in Patia at the Upazila level.  There is no auditorium above 500 seats at Upazila level.  He gave this gift to Prime Minister Patiya because he loves her.  Thanks and gratitude to the Prime Minister for this. 

 Zila Parishad Administrator Abdus Salam said, Patiya is an upazila rich in history and tradition.  People of this area will benefit in many ways as such a big auditorium is built in Patiya.  It is a pleasure to make this auditorium with the funding of Zila Parishad at a cost of about Tk 21 crores.
