‘Sheikh Hasina lays foundation of Smart Bangladesh’

The topic-based workshops to address the challenges of the 4th Industrial Revolution have been launched in Cox’s Bazar. 

The workshop started on Saturday (June 3) morning at the conference room of Cox's Bazar Development Authority under the initiative of Ministry of Housing and Public Works.

Kazi Washi Uddin, Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, was present as the chief guest in this two-day workshop.

He said that the plans taken by the government to build a smart Bangladesh announced by the Prime Minister should be properly implemented. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation for building a sustainable, innovative, intelligent and knowledge-based Smart Bangladesh, he added. 

Standing on this basis, all the current initiatives to create Smart Bangladesh will play an effective role in fulfilling the dream of building a developed Bangladesh by 2041. Therefore, the government officials have to work sincerely to implement the Prime Minister's plan to create a smart Bangladesh, said Kazi

Additional Secretary of Ministry of Housing and Public Works Md Oli Ullah presided over the workshop. Rajuk Chairman Anisur Rahman, Chairman of Cox's Bazar Development Authority Commodore (Retd.) Mohammad Nurul Abshar, Chief Engineer of Public Works Directorate Md. Shamim Akhtar, NHA Chairman Munim Hasan 

also spoke.

The additional secretary, joint secretary, head of department and other officials of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works participated in the workshop.
