Sharp instruments prohibited from Tajiya procession

On the occasion of the Holy Ashura, Muslim devotees are prohibited to carry all kinds of sharp instruments including, knife, scissor, spear, sword and sticks in Tajiya procession to avoid any untoward situation, reports BSS.

This information was stated in a press release signed by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia aiming to ensure the safety of the residents as Tajiya procession will take place at different places in DMP areas on Tuesday in the city. 

Bags and sharp objects such as knife, sword, and blade, explosives, tea flask, pressure cooker and flag staff will not be allowed in the procession, DMP commissioner said , adding that firecrackers will also remain banned during the event.This order will remain effective from beginning to end of the procession on that day, the release added.
