Golam Sohrab Dodul’s film Shapludu starring Arifin Shuvo and Bidya Sinha Mim is releasing across 42 theatres in the country today.
Director Dodul said, ‘Shapludu is being released in 42 small and big screens across the country. On the first day, the whole team will visit the theatres in Dhaka. We will watch the first day’s first show in Balaka. We want to know the reaction of the audience. From Sunday onwards, we will visit the theatres outside Dhaka.’
Regarding the film he said, ‘We tried to make good quality film for the audience. Now we are eagerly awaiting the audience’s reaction.’
The shooting of the action-thriller film took place in Dhaka, Bandarban, Rangamati and Cox’s Bazaar last year from 27th October to 3rd December. Other than Arifin Shuvo and Bidya Sinha Mim, the film also features Salauddin Lavlu, Tarik Anam Khan, Jahid Hasan, Shotabdi Wadud, Runa Khan and others.
Bengal Media produced Shapludu features 4 songs titled ‘Moyna Dhum’, ‘Shuvo Jonmodin’, ‘Kichu Shwapno’ and ‘Ya Khoda’. The songs were performed by Bappa Mazumder, Akhi Alamgir, Tanvir Alam Sajib, Kona, Hridoy Khan, Porshi and Imran.
