The word ‘Shan’ in Bengali means ‘to sharpen’. And this is the name which has been given to a film. It is evident that the film is going to be based on a very interesting story.
Nazim Ud Dowla has made the film by taking true facts from a police officer's life. There are a number of thriller books in the market as well. He is also the writer of detective film ‘Masood Rana’. Nazim Ud Dowla said that the name of the film 'Shan' has been given due to the characters and their dialogue.
According to Nazim Ud Dowla, “The film has been named ‘Shan’ because of the name and attitudes of the hero. That is, wherever the hero goes, he cuts everything open.”
There is lot of action in the film. There are two romantic songs too. But the film cannot be called action romantic rather the writer has called it an action thriller. There are dramas and psychological matters in the film. There is romanticism, but its importance is less than the main theme.
Siam Ahmed, Taskin and Pooja Cherie are playing the central roles of the film. The story writer and screenwriter said, “I have given more importance in writing stories and dialogues. Director will carry the role of the actors. He and his team will prepare the artists.”
The film is directed by MA Rahim. This is his first film. He said, “I hope the audience will be fascinated by trying to adapt to stories and dialogues. But wait to see the tension.”
Shooting of the film began on Sunday and will continue until 3 June. In addition to the three central characters, Champa and Aruna Biswas have played roles for the film too.
Champa and Aruna Biswas performed together 20 years later for this film. They acted together last in the film 'Tyag' directed by Shibli Sadiq. In the film Ilyas Kanchan starred in the role of twins.
