Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is returning home from the United States on Monday. After six months of his stay at United States, the left-arm all-rounder will finally return to Dhaka.

After his arrival, Shakib will immediately undergo corona test. If he tests negative, then Shakib will go directly to BKSP to start practice.

A family member of Shakib, on the condition of anonymity, said, “He will come on Monday and get tested for corona. It will take two to three days to get the report. During that period,he will rest at his Banani residence. If the report is negative, he will go to BKSP for practice. I hope he will be in BKSP on 5th or 6th September. This is the way it has been planned so far.”

Shakib’sICC ban will be lifted on October 29.  He was given a one-year ban for not informing the ICC after receiving an offer of match-fixing.

He plans to return to cricket after the ban is lifted.

Shakib is gearing up to take the field against the Lankans. According to sources, Bangladesh are likely to play two Tests in Kandy while the third in Colombo when the team tours Sri Lanka next month. A tentative fixture between Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket has been chalked. It will be revealed ahead of the series.

Shakib has been out of the field for a long time.

Therefore, to improve his fitness, Shakib is expected to practice for three weeks under BKSP coach Nazmul Abedin Fahim before playing against the Lankans.
