Shakib Al Hasan returned to Dhaka on a Qatar Airways flight at 2.50 am on Tuesday. He returned to the country after five months. Shakib went to the United States last March. There, in April, he became the father of a daughter for the second time.
Shakib got off the plane in Dhaka and went to his Banani’s residence. His corona will be tested in a day or two. He will stay at home until he gets the test result. Then, he is scheduled to go to BKSP on September 5 for his practice.
Shakib was banned for a year in October last year for failing to inform the ICC’s anti-corruption unit despite being offered for matchfixing. He will be released from the ban on October 29.
He wants to return to cricket as soon as the ban expires. This is why, one of the best all-rounders in the world, will practice intensively at BKSP.
However, BCB chief Nazmul Hasan has already said that Shakib can return to international cricket with a Test in the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. The Bangladesh cricket team will leave for Sri Lanka later this month.
