State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam distributed food items among 10,000 needy families in Charghat and Bagha areas of Rajshahi.
On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr, the State Minister, on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, distributed 10,000 packets of food items among the marginal people living in 13 unions and three municipalities under Charghat and Bagha upazilas of the district, said a press release on Sunday.
Like previous years, Shahriar also distributed saree, lungi, panjabi as Eid clothes among the poor people of Charghat-Bagha area on his personal initiative.
As per the Prime Minister's instructions, the state minister for foreign affairs also distributed food items in Pakuria and Monigram unions of Bagha upazila, Rajshahi.
The Awami League's local leaders were present at the event.
