Anjan Dutt recently wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming food-musical ‘Shaheber Cutlet’ and it’s an exhilarating experience for the seasoned filmmaker.
“I am so bloody proud of the young people I work with. Who give me the energy at 65 to be desperately young, break away from the conventional, try new things, become more careful yet careless, unabashed... Finally innocent. Thank you Tiyash Sen, Neel Dutt, Suprobhat, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Sritama, Kanchan Mullick, Arjun Chackraborty, Avirup Chatterjee and others who are much younger than me.... Suddenly, I feel my costume designer Chanda Dutt is become young again like old times... Our theatre days. Good work only comes from youth. The spirit of being young…” he took to his social media handle to share the delightful experience.
The musical food film stars Arjun Chakrabarty in the lead. Although Cutlet was initially a continental food, it turned out to be a Bengali dish with time, says Anjan.‘Saheber Cutlet’ follows the journey of a chef, who has some expertise on continental cuisine. However, he loses his job because of his temper issue. And then he finds out making the street snacks like Singara also requires a tremendous amount of skill and talent.
‘Finally Bhalobasha’ fame Suprobhat is playing a negative character in the food film. Kanchan Mullick, Ambarish Bhattacharya and Anjan Dutt himself will be seen in pivotal roles.
